Passion Flowerby ~himizu

This is the flower of the Passion Vine. It's right before it starts turning into a Passion Fruit, the same flavor you seen in juices and teas.

I am lucky enough to have one of these growing in my backyard. I transplanted it a couple of years ago from the local Botanic Gardens... they were very abundant there and the caretakers wanted to get rid of them, so I took one home.

I guess it's one of nature's greatest masterpieces. Especially when you compare it to something like grass. Grass is like a line on a paper compared to the intricate and detailed painting that is a Passion Flower.

I'm from critique-me.

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought this would be a 3D render or something, that's how surreal it looked like. It still looks very surreal in the full view. The leaf on the lower left part of the picture is a little distracting, but otherwise this is a nice and very interesting picture with vivid colors and a balanced composition.

I also find it interesting that something that looks like this is used as a sleeping aid/mild sedative.
